“Blades of Glory” is an American comedy film which was released on March 29, 2007 by DreamWorks and MTV Films. This film is directed by both Josh Gordon and Will Speck. The main stars of this movie are Will Ferrell and Jon Heder. It was released on DVD and HD DVD on August 28, 2007 and released on Blu-ray Disc on May 20, 2008.
The story of the movie is written by Jeff Cox, Craig Cox, and Busy Philipps. The cinematography of the movie is Stefan Czapsky, and the music director is Theodore Shapiro.
At the 2003 World Winter Sport Games, rival men’s singles skaters Chazz Michael Michaels, a skillful skater but sex addict and Jimmy McElory, a talented, effeminate skater. They both got a lifetime ban from men’s singles competition. But Jimmy’s adoptive father, billionaire Darren MacElory, immediately disowns him and leaves him on the side of the road.
After three and a half years later, Chazz skates in the kiddie skating show “Grublets on Ice” as the “Evil Wizard”, has gained a lot of weight. That is the competition of pair skating or ice dancing. Jimmy’s coach tries a lot for female partner, but he is unable to find a partner. His coach gives an idea to join up as a same sex pairs team, because of a loophole in the regulations that fails to state the genders of the pairs and dance team. Some problems are created between Chazz and Jimmy by the cunning people Stranz and Fairchild. At last Jimmy and Chazz win the competition. They get glorious gold and fly off into the sky.
