Christine Jane Baranski’s full name is Christine Jane Baranski. She is an American stage and screen actress. She was born on May 2, 1952, at Buffalo, in New York, U.S.

The parents of Christine Baranski were Virginia, and Lucien Baranski. She is of Polish descent. Grandparents of Baranski were actors in the Polish theater. She joined in Villa Maria Academy, after which she studied at Juilliard. Matthew Cowles is her husband. The couple has two daughters.

She was debut in 1980 through Coming Attractions at Playwrights Horizons. She has appeared in several off-Broadway productions at the Manhattan Theatre Club. She acted in many films. She is very famous actress. She got the 1984 Tony Award Best Featured Actress in a Play. Some hit movies of Baranski are Hurlyburly, The House of Blue Leaves, Rumors, Nick & Nora, Regrets only, and Follies. In 2002, she acted as Mrs. Lovett in the movie Sweeney Todd. She has received both the Tony and Desk Awards twice.
