
Matthew Rutledge is a famous American football player who is in the Houston Texans. He used to play college football at Virginia.
He was born on 25th June, 1981 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He had done his schooling from West Chester East High School in West Chester. As a senior, he was the captain of the team. Before playing for Houston Texans he used to play for Atlanta Falcons for the years 2004-2006. He finished his college career with 22 school records.

In 2004, he played six games with the Atlanta Falcons. He was named the most valuable Player in the year 2005, in the American Bowl preseason game in Tokyo, Japan in front of 45,203 fans. In March 2007, he played for the Houston Texans.

Although getting injured for several times in the year 2007, he improved the record of the team. He played very well that the team finished 8-8 despite starting 0-4.
