John Abraham is an Indian actor and former model who appears in Bollywood films . Abraham was born on December 17th, 1972 in Mumbai ,Maharashtra to a Malayali father and a Parsi mother.His father is an architect in Aluva, Kerala which is a town in Ernakulam district. Architect is trained in the planning and designing of buildings and participates in supervising the construction of a buildings. Abraham’s name in Parsi is Farhan while his father is Christian and named him John. He has a younger brother Alan. Abraham studied at the Bombay Scottish School , Mahim in Mumbai.
Abraham started his career with the media firm Time and Space Media Entertainment Promotions Ltd however this ltd was closed because of some financial problems . Later he worked for Enterprises -Nexus as a media planner.In the year 1999 he won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest is an Indian Magazine which is related to modeling .And then he went to Philippines for Manhunt International he won second place.
After Modeling for advertisements and companies he made his first film Jism directed by Amit Saxena released in the year 2003 .He acted along with Bipasha Basu. This film earned him a Film fare Best Debut Award nomination. This is his first commercial success.While making this film that Abraham and Bipasa started dating each other .
Abraham has been started dating with the actress Bipasha Basu since 2002. This couple as referred as a super couple in India . He also associated himself deeply in the social causes and also make the young stars to join hands in this humanity mankind .He donated a cheque of 10 lakhs to the famous Lilavati hospital of Mumbai towards the hospital funds.
