The Grammy Awards are originally called as Gramophone Awards, or Grammys. These awards are presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States for outstanding achievements in the music industry. The Grammy awards were established in 1958. The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 31, 2010, and will be held at Los Angels Staples Center.
This trophy is manufactured by Billings Artworks in Ridgway, Colorado. These trophies are all hand made and assembled. The Grammy Award is assembled in pieces and finally finished off gold plating.
The Grammy Nominations are announced on December 2, 2009 during a live television special called The Grammy Nominations Concert Live. The Grammy Nominations will be hosted by LL Cool J who co-hosted last year’s Grammy Nominations concert. Total 109 awards will be presented at the Grammy Awards.
