Tsunami Pictures

A tsunami is a series of water waves. This is caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water, such as an ocean. This wave is also known as harbor wave. Mostly, Tsunamis occurred in Japan. Approximately, 195 events have been recorded in Japan. There are many reasons to generate a tsunami, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, underwater explosions, landslides and other mass movements, bolide impacts, and other disturbances above or below water.

Southern Methodist University

Southern Methodist University is a private, coeducational university. It is located at University Park, in Texas. It is owned by the South Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. In 1911, the University was founded by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. Now, this University operated campuses in University Park, Plano, and Taos, New Mexico. The university has 603 faculty members, 6000 undergraduates, and 4693 postgraduate students.

The nicknames of the university are “The Hilltop”, and “SMU Mustangs”. Actually the classes planned to start in 1913, but were postponed until 1915. Several streets in University Park were named after prominent universities, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, Dartmouth, Purdue, Tulane, Amherst, Bryn Mawr, Drexel, Hanover, Marquette, Southwestern, Vassar, and Villanova.

The famous University has seven degree-granting schools, such as Cox School of Business, Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences, Dedman School of Law, Meadows School of the Arts, Perkins School of Theology, Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education & Human Development, and Lyle School of Engineering.
