Sigourney Weaver’s birth name is Susan Alexandra Weaver. She is an American actress. She was born on October 8, 1949 in Manhattan, New York, U.S. She got good name for her roles as Lieutenant Ellen Ripley in the Alien film series and as Dana Barrett in the Ghostbusters movies. The parents of Sigourney were Elizabeth Inglis, and Sylvester “Pat” Lafflin Weaver. Her mother was an English former actress, and her father was NBC television executive. Her uncle, Doodless Weaver was a comedian and actor. In 1963, she changed her name as “Sigourney Weaver” after a minor character in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby. She was joined in the Ethel Walker School, a prep school in Simsbury, Connecticut. Also, she was attended in the Chapin School.
