Shohreh Aghdashloo
Shohreh Aghdashloo is an Iranian-American actress. She was born on May 11, 1952 in Tehran, Iran. She is an Oscar nominated actress. “Aghdashloo” is the family name of her former husband Aydin Aghdashloo. He was famous Iranian painter. Her first film is Gozaresh, directed by renowned director Abbas Kiarostami. This film won the Critics Award at the Moscow Film Festival. She entered in the acting field at the age of 20. Her second film Shatranje Baad, directed by Mohammad Reza Aslani.

Both Shatranje Baad and Gozaresh movies were banned in her home country. She got good name by the movie Sooteh Delan in 1978. Her performance is very excellent in that movie. The movie was directed by the late Iranian filmmaker Ali Hatami. She got a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. In 1987, Aghdashloo married Houshang Touzie. In 1989, she got a daughter.

Shohreh Aghdashloo’s first American movie is Guests Of Hotel Astoria, in 1989. Her TV debut came in 190 in a guest role in the 25 September, two hour episode of the NBC television series Matlock, titled “Nowhere to Turn: A Matlock Mystery Movie”. She has acted as Elizabeth in the biblical film at the end of 2006. She is a 2009 Emmy Award winner.
